What's On at St Michael's

To get involved in any of our ministry programs, please get in touch!

Sunday Worship - 10:00 am In-Person & on Zoom

All are welcome to join in worship at our modified hybrid service which features hymn singing. Zoom link HERE.

To join us in-person on Sunday, use the main entrance on St Clair Ave and please consider bringing a mask to continue to maintain a safe physical distance as we work together to maintain a safe space for all to gather.

Tuesday Evening Bible Fellowship (Study) - 7:00-8:30 pm on Zoom

Join fellow seekers in exploring the wisdom of the ancient Biblical text through weekly readings, casual conversation, and prayer.

Fantastic Friends in Faith: Juniour Youth Group

​Temporarily on hold 

Discovering the joy of having God in our lives, together. FFiF uses storytelling, activities, arts and crafts, and conversation for junior youth to explore the wisdom in the bible and engage with faith in everyday life. 9-12 year olds asking questions of faith are invited to contact us to join in! Offered on Zoom until further notice, email us to register.

20s-30s Ministry
 

Messy Church

A once-monthly family-friendly worship time with a different format from Sunday mornings, now offered on Zoom until further notice. Visit our Worship page for more info!

The Beeton Cupboard Food Bank

Volunteer run and serving the community Wednesdays from 11:30-12:30. Food Donations can be dropped off any day from 7am-7pm at our Wychwood Ave entrance (through the wooden gate). Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates @stmichaelonstclair

Out of the Cold Lunch Program
Runs October - April, Sundays at 12:30pm

The Underground Cafe - Friday 10:00-11:30 am

Started as a grassroots community initiative to foster social connection, the Underground has grown into a regular weekly drop-in event held on the front lawn of St. Michael & All Angels Church Fridays from 10:00 - 11:30 am on St Clair ave W. Join us for coffee, tea, goodies, and conversation with fellow members of the neighbourhood. Please wear a mask and continue to physically distance.

The Beeton Garden

A new initiative (as of summer 2021) run by members of the community looking or ways to support those experiencing food insecurity through the growing of fresh, local produce. It started in local backyards and now has vegetable plots on the church grounds. Contact us if you'd like to get involved!

Baking from a Distance

This community initiative allows bakers in the neighbourhood to support the Beeton Cupboard food bank with home-baked goodies to be given out each week.

Prayer Shawl Initiative

Bringing comfort to those experiencing loneliness, grief, and isolation during the pandemic. Do you know of someone who could use this form of caring? Are you a knitter or crafter interested in creating and donating a shawl? Supplies of yarn are available. Contact us to get involved.

Fabulous Fridays

On for July 2021! Register by June 30 for weekly delivery of arts & crafts kits and snacks for four weeks in July! Follow us on Instagram for regular updates and to share your creations with the hashtag #fabfridaysjuly. Follow @stmichaelonstclair.

Our arts and crafts program for families and individuals in the neighbourhood offered unique activities in its pilot program during the spring and summer 2020 shutdown. 650 activity kits were delivered every Friday to the doorsteps of 80 children and their families.

Lenten Retreat Series (2020)

Tuesday evenings 7:00-8:30 pm on Zoom

Take time in community to rest, recharge and realign on your Lenten journey.

Through meditation, scripture and gentle reflection, these sacred Tuesday evenings will give us time to take account of our journey through the wilderness - noticing where God's love shines through and seeking community to support us as we resist those temptations that would pull us away from the journey that leads us closer to experiencing God's love.

Self examination, fasting, study, prayer and alms givings: Let this bible study support you in understanding and deepening your journey through Lent

SPA Day: Lenten Edition 2020

Take some time to realign. Come and create a Faith Shield: a spiritual practice for illuminating your relationship with God.

St Michael's SPA Day: Spiritual Practice through the Arts Workshop

Saturday November 2, 2019  10:00 am - 3:30 pm

Take some time to realign at St Michael's SPA Day, a new faith development opportunity this fall. A full day workshop of scripture and active art stations for the novice and the pro.

Introduction to the Bible 4-Week Series

Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:30 pm Starting September 17, 2019

Join us in a conversational exploration of the bible and its major themes, important stories, and characters. For those who missed our first Bible Exploration Series this is a great opportunity to begin or deepen your understanding of what the bible is all about and how it can inform your personal faith development.

Kids' Bible and Faith Exploration Mini Series

Wednesdays 4:00 - 5:00 pm June 12, 19, 26, 2019

Join this mini three-week series in June to deepen, or begin, your understanding of the Bible and what it means to be a Christian. Great for children ages 7-12, parents looking to further the conversation about faith, and baptismal preparation and/or confirmation.

When: 4-5pm Wednesdays June 12th, 19th, 26th

"Questions Jesus Asked" 5-Week Series

Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:30 pm June 25 - July 23, 2019

Come and join in this five-week biblical exploration of the questions that Jesus asks of his disciples – and let your life be transformed!

    Each week we will focus on one of five questions and seek to understand their importance in our lives and world today. This 5-week series allows room for quiet personal reflection and group conversation. Open to all.

6-Week Bible Exploration Series

Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:30 pm May 14 - June 18, 2019

Mark your calendars and let your friends know…  

St Michael and All Angels is offering a six-week Bible Exploration beginning Tuesday May 14th! This course is for those who don’t know where to begin, for those who know the Bible cover to cover, and for those who are somewhere in between: All are welcome.

       We will:

  • Cover some of the basics: Bible structure: who’s who and what is where.

  • Explore the background and storyline of some favourite stories

  • Discover some ‘brand new lesser known’ characters, and

  • Consider our personal relationship within God’s ever unfolding story.
